As if a six-team bye in Week 7 wasn’t bad enough, two potential quarterback streaming options, Deshaun Watson and Daniel Jones, could be in danger of missing another week while recovering from injuries. On top of that, Kyler Murray, who’s been on the physically unable to perform list all season, is trending in the right direction toward a potential return. That said, there’s still no definite timetable for his return.

What’s the most up-to-date injury status for these QBs ahead of Week 7? Below, we’ll give you the latest news on these quarterbacks and break down how their injuries could potentially affect the Week 7 fantasy landscape. Deshaun Watson injury update, Week 7 fantasy outlook

On Monday, Browns’ head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media that Watson (shoulder) is “day-to-day.” Watson’s missed Cleveland’s past two games with what ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported is a “deep rotator cuff contusion.” He had a bye week in between to heal up.

Watson didn’t practice last week leading up to Cleveland’s upset win over San Francisco, so if he’s able to at least log a limited session this week, he will likely get pegged with a “questionable” tag ahead of the Browns’ Week 7 road matchup against the Colts. We’ll have a better feel for Watson’s playing status as the week progresses, but if he’s not healthy enough to play, backup P.J. Walker is set to make his second straight start. Fantasy owners likely won’t feel confident about using Watson if he’s active, but he has a lot of upside given the favorable matchup. Walker wouldn’t land on the fantasy radar.

Daniel Jones injury update, Week 7 fantasy outlook

Jones (neck) missed the Giants’ Week 6 road tilt against the Bills after exiting New York’s Week 5 contest in the second half. On Monday, the Giants worked out two quarterbacks, Matt Barkley and Ian Book, which doesn’t seem to be a good sign for Jones’ chances of playing this week. However, according to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, the Giants aren’t expected to sign either QB.

As Raanan pointed out, “This presumably reflects well on the health of Daniel Jones”, so we’ll see if he can return to practice leading into Sunday’s home matchup against the Commanders. If Jones can’t go this week, Tyrod Taylor, who filled in admirably in Week 6, will make another spot start. Taylor has some standalone fantasy appeal in deeper leagues, but he profiles more as a DFS value in Week 7.

Kyler Murray injury update, Week 7 fantasy outlook

UPDATE: Murray could begin practicing on Wednesday.

Murray (knee) has yet to be activated off the Cardinals’ physically unable to perform (PUP) list, meaning the QB is likely still a few weeks away from potentially returning to the field after suffering a knee injury in Week 14 last season. Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon did say last week that Murray “is getting better every day” and “when he’s ready to go, he’ll go”.

Without a definite timetable for a return, fantasy owners should continue to look for other QB options in the free-agent pool. Hopefully, we’ll have a clearer picture of when Murray will return to game action in a week or so, but for now, Josh Dobbs is still Arizona’s QB1. Dobbs profiles as a viable Week 7 streaming option against the Seahawks.
