James Corden has given fans a rare insight into his special friendship with Harry Styles during a candid chat.

The presenter, who is gearing up for his final appearance on The Late Late Show this week, has been friends with Harry since his early One Direction days.

Yet James says going on days and nights out with Harry – which often comes with fans begging for autographs or calling the singer’s in the street – helps keep him “humbled”.

In recent years, the pair jetted off on a lavish holiday with their pal and fellow Brit, Adele, with fans asking Corden, 44, to take pictures of them and Styles.

Opening up, James said: “I just think Styles is so special as a human.

“But actually, you don’t have any of those feelings because… Like there is someone who wants to embrace the world they’re living in, to the absolute best that he can and you never ever feel like that.”

During a chat on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM Wednesday show, Stern, 69, commented: “I don’t know that I’d do well with Harry Styles and everybody in the f***ing resort is coming up and screaming his name, you know what I’m saying?” before asking: “Do you ever deal with that?”

“I think it’s good for me,” replied James before continuing: “I think anytime you can have a little bit of humbling is great so when someone comes up, I’m like ‘I get it,’ this is arguably the most desirable, famous man on the planet right now.”

He went on to explain that when he’s with the cheeky Cheshire chap, he’s often considered as an afterthought by fans who ask him to take their pictures with the Grammy award-winning musician.

He added that being friends with Boyfriends hitmaker Harry was a “very, very good,” and “positive thing”.

Reflecting on one time the pair holidayed together, James went on to state that he attempted to follow Harry’s strict diet, telling Stern: “I made this pact where I said, ‘I am only gonna eat when you eat. I’m gonna work out when you work out and I’m gonna eat what you eat and I think it’s gonna have a really positive impact on me’,” but he later confessed that he only lasted 36 hours before eating fries.

In the past, Harry has opened up about his strict pescatarian diet after fans have thrown things including chicken nuggets at him while he’s been on stage.
