Ahead of the NFL Scouting Combine kicking off on Tuesday, February 28th, CBS Sports released another mock draft. This one differs from a previous mock draft that CBS released, which had the Indianapolis Colts trading up to take Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson. Instead, here the Colts trade up for Alabama quarterback Bryce Young.

Uniquely, the CBS Sports mock draft includes trades. Many NFL mock drafts skip this because it’s almost impossible to accurately predict them. Still, it adds to the fun in what is, ultimately, a thought exercise about what could make sense.

There are only 31 picks in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft because the Miami Dolphins forfeited their first round pick due to tampering for Tom Brady.

The biggest move that CBS Sports predicted in the draft was having Indianapolis trade up to number one overall. In exchange, Indianapolis is sending the fourth, 36th, 80th, and next year’s second round pick to Chicago. With those picks, Chicago can try and put a better roster around Justin Fields.

Another trade that CBS Sports predicted saw Tampa Bay trade up with Atlanta to take Will Levis during a run on quarterbacks. This, likely, means that there is an expectation that the Falcons are finding a new quarterback in a trade or through free agency.
