Fantasy Stock Up: Todd Gurley, Rob Gronkowski and Christine Michael

If you were smart enough to draft St. Louis Rams rookie running back Todd Gurley before the season, you may find yourself still alive in your fantasy football league’s playoffs. Gurley is a no-brainer must start RB1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 15, especially after the team listed him as probably with a knee injury.

Gurley was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, which was great to see after the rookie was only a limited participant on Monday and Tuesday.

Gurley has proven himself as a once in a decade type of talent. Through 11 games this season he has 975 yards on just 189 carries for an average of 5.2 yards per carry and he has eight touchdowns on the ground. Gurley has also added 18 receptions for an additional 150 yards.

If you own Gurley in a keeper or a dynasty league, he will make you a happy fantasy football owner for many years to come.

Speaking of no-brainer must start players for Week 15, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was also listed as a full participant in practice on Wednesday. His knee injury seems to be 100 percent healed and he is ready to go against the Titans.

Not only is Gronk the best tight end option in all of football this week, he is one of the best fantasy football options altogether, regardless of position.

Quarterback Tom Brady absolutely loves throwing Gronk the ball and that’s proven by looking at his stats. Gronk already has 61 receptions through just 12 games for 1018 yards and five touchdowns.

I can’t foresee anyone on the Titans defense trying to slow Gronk down on Sunday. Even if the team decides to triple cover him, Gronk will still likely have a big day. Start him this week – and every week – without hesitation.

Christine Michael is far from a no-brainer, but he may be worth adding onto teams that are still in the running for some money during the fantasy football playoffs. The Seattle Seahawks have signed Michael, who may immediately see some playing time after Thomas Rawls wend out with an injury last week.

Michael knows the team’s system and could easily step into the lineup if asked. However, I wouldn’t recommend starting him in Week 15 unless you absolutely have to. The Seahawks will also use Bryce Brown and Fred Jackson in the running game.

Who knows which running back will actually see the most playing time.
