Maynard James Keenan is celebrating his upcoming 60th birthday in a big way. The singer’s bands A Perfect Circle and Puscifer will be joined by Primus on a brief Spring 2024 tour.
The outing, dubbed “Sessanta,” kicks off on Keenan’s actual birthday (April 17th) with a gig at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona, and runs through a two-night stand April 25th-26th at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.
Update, October 4th: The tour has been expanded to include more dates in Texas and the Southeast. Update, October 31st: Eight new shows have been added to the tour, including dates in Boston, Atlantic City, Chicago, New York, and beyond.

“It took some massaging, and some long days in rehearsal, but we managed to seamlessly pull off this three-song rotation at Cinquanta, my 50th birthday shows, at The Greek Theatre in 2014,” stated Keenan in a press release. “Bands aren’t used to simultaneously sharing the stage with other bands, but if anyone can do it, it’s Primus, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer.”
As the press release describes, “Sessanta’s unique format sees the musicians from the trio of bands joining each other’s performances throughout the concert. While each group will have their own distinctive set, the players will continually transform as the night unfolds.”
The concerts also mark A Perfect Circle’s first gigs since 2018.

Prior to the “Sessanta” jaunt, Keenan will head out with Tool on a Fall 2023 North American tour that kicks off October 3rd in Loveland, Colorado, preceded by a headlining appearance at Lousville’s Louder Than Life festival on September 22nd. Tickets for Tool’s upcoming shows are available here.
