On 23 November, Destiny Hope Cyrus, better known as Miley Cyrus, turned 31-years-old. Thesinger, songwriter and actress rose to fame as child, starring in hit Disney series Hannah Montana and his since gone on to have a hugely successful adult career as a solo musician, as well as continuing to appear in the odd movie and TV series. The “Wrecking Ball” singer, of course, has been making big money from a very young age, first appearing on Hannah Montana when she was 13 in 2006. In addition to her salary for playing the lead role, which she held until 2011, she also went on a number of tours related to the series and was the face of related clothing lines, accessories, toys and movies.
Music career after Hannah Montana stardom
Cyrus’ career as a musician kicked off in 2007 with her first solo album, Meet Miley Cyrus, with her two subsequent records – Breakout (2008) and Can’t Be Tamed (2010) – also coming out during her time on Hannah Montana.
Her fourth studio album, 2013′s Bangerz, was her first release after she decided to prioritise her musical career was a fairly radical change from her earlier efforts. The switch to a more romantic pop/R&B sound paid off as she earned her first Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album.

Cyrus has received six nominations for the upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards, with her single “Flowers” nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Solo Performance, with Endless Summer Vacation up for Best Pop Vocal Album. Her track “Thousand Miles”, which she perfoms with Brandi Carlile, has also been nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Despite music now very much being her number one focus, the Tennessee native has continued to act sporadically, lending her voice to movies Bolt (2008) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), appearing as a judge in The Voice (2016-2017) and on an episode of Black Mirror (2019).
Cyrus also owns a number of properties, further contributing to her personal fortune.
