Eminem’s beef with Christina Aguilera has been one of the unlikeliest pop culture rivalries ever.
Many fans were left dumbfounded when the singers openly started taking jabs at each other in 1999.
Eminem and Christina’s beef saw some uncomfortable moments between the two, one of which was when the Lady Marmalade singer had to hand an award to her nemesis at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards.
Christina was presenting the award for Best Male Video and it was Eminem who won it.
Even though it’s all in the past now, over the past few months, fans on TikTok have been revisiting the infamous beef between Eminem and Christina.

What was Eminem and Christina Aguilera’s beef all about?
The infamous feud started in 1999 when Christina made some comments about Eminem’s personal life during the MTV special, What A Girl Wants.
She claimed that Eminem had married his longtime girlfriend, Kim, in a secret ceremony.
To add to that, Christina jumped the gun by dissecting some of Eminem’s lyrics indicating violence, which she claimed were also about Kim.
Eminem, predictably, was not a happy man. The Michigan rapper included some scathing lyrics aimed at the Latin singer in his mega-hit 2000 song, “The Real Slim Shady.”
Here’s how the lyrics go: “Little b***h put me on blast on MTV ‘Yeah, he’s cute, but I think he’s married to Kim, hee-hee.’ I should download her audio on MP3 and show the whole world how you gave Eminem VD!”
Eminem also brought her up in his song “Off the Wall” featuring Redman.
Christina, who had seemingly had enough of Eminem’s disses, wrote a song of her own, hitting back at the Rap God singer.
The star’s track “Can’t Hold Us Down” from her 2002 album, Stripped, features lyrics that read: “So what? Am I not supposed to have an opinion? Should I keep quiet just because I’m a woman? Call me a b***h cause I speak what’s on my mind. Guess it’s easier for you to swallow if I sat and smiled.”
After the contentious beef continued for a couple of years, it seemed like Eminem and Christina had buried their hatchet at the 2002 MTV Music Awards.
Despite their awkward moment on stage, NME reported that the two hugged it out backstage. But, this wasn’t the end.
Eminem dissed Christina again in 2018
For years, it seemed like the two had let things rest, but that changed in 2018.
To fans’ utter shock, the rapper mentioned Christina once again in his freestyle track, “Kick-Off.”
A year later, the Genie in a Bottle singer appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and discussed what Eminem had said about her in his track.
“Yeah, I mean, that’s real thirsty. I don’t know what’s going on there. That’s really in the past and, you know, it was thirsty then, it’s thirsty now… It’s not nice to go after anybody, especially a female in this business and now, what we’re looking at and seeing come to the forefront, it’s just, get a new gig. Have something else to talk about,” Christina said.
It has been a while since the two have had a go at each other. So, we assume that they’ve both put their differences aside and have moved on with their respective lives.

Fans react to the musicians’ drama
Many TikTok users reacted to Eminem and Christina’s past clips that have resurfaced over the past few months on the platform.
One user wrote: “Kinda ship them now.”
Reacting to the 2002 MTV award show, a second user wrote: “The way she holds onto it for just a bit too long.”
A third user reacted to Christiana’ comments about Eminem saying: “Christina was out here starting beef with everyone omg.”
