Aaron Rodgers shares inside look at injury rehab in new photos

Aaron Rodgers on Saturday released on Instagram some dramatic photos of his rehab work from his torn left Achilles tendon injury he suffered in the Jets’ Week 1 win vs. the Bills.

“Three weeks into the rise to recovery. #healing,” Rodgers posted as the caption for his rehabilitation pictures.

Rodgers — who took a shot at Travis Kelce, calling him “Mr. Phizer,” during his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on YouTube on Tuesday — has maintained since he suffered his Achilles injury after just four plays that he is shooting to return before the 2023 season ends.

But that comes with one caveat.

“It’s pretty obvious I’m well ahead of the normal protocols when it comes to rehab for this kind of thing … but, obviously I’d like us to be alive and winning for that even to be in the conversation,” Rodgers told McAfee. “I don’t think it hurts at all to put that into the manifestation Zeitgeist and with all the modalities that we’re doing, I feel like we’ve put ourselves in a position to make that decision at some point.”

Rodgers also said he was impressed with how Zach Wilson played in the Jets’ 23-20 loss to the Chiefs on “Sunday Night Football.”

“I’m very proud of the leadership that Zach showed and I’m proud of the way he played,” Rodgers said. “But I don’t need to pull him aside and tell him anything special. There wasn’t like some pep talk that I gave him that made him play better … I think you’re seeing a lot of great leadership growth from him.”

Wilson and the Jets will look to snap a three-game skid on Sunday in Denver against Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos.

Of course, Rodgers couldn’t resist taking a jab at Taylor Swift’s rumored boyfriend.

“Mr. Pfizer, we kinda shut him down a little bit,” Rodgers said, referring to the Jets’ defense who held Kelce to just six receptions and 60 yards.
