For season 17, Derek was partnered with actress and singer, Amber Riley. The two of them went all the way till the end winning the competition on November 26, 2013. This was Derek’s fifth win and the second back-to-back win. Their average score was 27.8 and they scored five perfect scores of thirty (30) during the show.
