Britney Spears bizarrely put on an Australian accent to plead with fans not to call the police if she goes silent on social media again.

The superstar’s home was visited by officers after people became worried for her welfare when the singer deleted her Instagram account last month.

Following the takedown, deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office received calls from alarmed fans and responded by calling at Britney’s Calabasas home to see if she was in danger.

She was perfectly fine – but was ticked off by those who called the cops on her.

Britney posted a video showing off some dresses she received and adopted an Aussie accent.

The 41-year-old then abruptly stops dancing around her room to tell her followers not to phone the authorities if she decides to de-activate her accounts.

She said: “So, guys, I just want you to know… if I shutdown my Instagram do not call the cops.”

She quickly turned the comments off after saying it was her choice if she wanted to take a break from the platforms.

Britney previously alluded to the matter by saying: “I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded.”

Speaking about the police being called, she wrote on Instagram: “The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realised there was no issue and left immediately.

“This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media.”

When Britney last deleted her account in December, her husband Sam warned fans to be wary of being ‘overprotective’ of her.

He wrote: “Social media can be traumatizing. Sometimes it’s good to take a break. She has her voice and is a free woman. I have respect for her privacy and I protect it at all times.

“Thank you to all of her protective fans,” he wrote amid fears from fans that Britney isn’t in control of her own social media accounts.

He added: “Out of respect for her privacy I don’t post her 247. I ask for permission if I ever do.”

Sam went on: “I’ve always respected and supported her privacy with everything I’ve had. I ask of you supportive and protective fans to do the same.

“Sometimes being over protective can cause more stress and damage.”
