A fan attempted to heckle Cam Newton during a football camp, and the NFL quarterback couldn’t resist firing back a comeback of his own.

Newton was taking part in former UCF kicker Donald De La Haye’s “1ON1” tour during its New Orleans stop when a fan taunted the former Panthers and Patriots quarterback, according to video of the encounter.

Newton, the 2015 NFL MVP when he led Carolina to an NFC championship, went over to confront the person after he got tired of the fan chirping him.

At one point, the video showed the fan yelling at the NFL quarterback, “How many rings you got?”

Newton responded, “none” to which the agitator exclaimed, “We’ve got the same amount.”

That’s when Newton, an 11-year NFL veteran, commented back toward the fan again and capped his response with an X-rated gesture.

“But, we don’t got the same bank account,” Newton said, before making the motion in the direction of the fan.

That’s when another fan chimed in, “You’re too famous to be acting like that.”

The video cuts off shortly after that point, but not before Newton said, “No, no, don’t play the victim now.”

Newton last played in the NFL during the 2021 season with the Panthers when he started five games and completed 69 passes for 684 yards and four touchdown passes.

Newton likely wasn’t wrong about the bank account comparisons with the fan, who looked to be in his early 20s, considering what he made during his NFL career.

According to Spotrac, he earned around $130 million over the course of his career.

In 2021 during another back and forth, a high school football player chirped Newton over his free-agent status.

The younger football player eventually apologized for his taunting in that incident, according to TMZ.
