Derek Hough grew up in a Mormon family with four sisters. His youngest, Julianne, is his most famous sibling, but he has three others that the world doesn’t know as much about. The family is super close and they all seem to get along quite well. 8 Derek And Julianne Are The Only Professional Dancers In The Family

Although all of the Hough siblings enjoy music and dance, only two went on to dance professionally. Derek and Julianne both went to study dance in Europe as teenagers and they followed each other to Dancing With the Stars after that. The two are incredibly close and they’ve even toured together, sharing their love and passion for dance with the world.

7 Derek Has Eleven Nieces And Nephews

His eldest sister, Sharee, has a total of six children, his sister Marabeth has two, and his sister Katherine has three. This makes Derek an uncle to eleven nieces and nephews, whom he adores. He has shared videos of him spending time with them whenever he gets a chance to see them and it’s clear the man is great with kids.

6 His Relationship With Sharee

Sharee is Derek’s oldest sister and is super busy. While raising six kids, she is also a dance teacher and fitness instructor. She is a professionally trained ballet dancer and is the owner of “Hough Works” where she teaches on-demand and live fitness classes. Her and Derek obviously share a love of dance and fitness as the two love to move their bodies and stay in shape. What’s great about these two is that Derek seems to get along pretty well with Sharee’s husband, as well, as the two were seen doing body rolls together in a video Sharee posted on her Instagram account.

5 His Relationship With Marabeth

Marabeth is Derek’s second oldest sister and a mother of two children. She is a realtor and health coach, sharing a passion for health and fitness along with all of her siblings. She is also a singer-songwriter, a talent that her sister Julianne shares. She resides in Nashville and Derek has expressed his appreciation for her whenever he goes to visit. She is great at throwing together parties and brunches for her loved ones and Derek loves being able to visit when he can.

4 His Relationship With Katherine

His sister Katherine is his third oldest, and was the one born before him. She shares a love for dance with Derek, as she was a backup dancer in Julianne’s movie remake of Footloose. She is the mother of three children and is an esthetician with her own spa in Utah. Derek attended the grand opening of her spa which is called “Skin By Katherine” and offered photos and autographs to attendees who spent $100 at the spa.

3 They Appreciate And Value Their Time Together

The Houghs love to spend their holidays together and have created dance videos for social media at past holiday get togethers. Derek seems to enjoy the fact that he’s the only boy among his siblings and loves spending time with his sisters no matter their difference in gender. Whenever he gets to see one of his sisters he often posts about their time together on social media, expressing that it’s always good to see them.

2 They Love To Vacation Together

Derek and his sisters have often vacationed together during summers as well as during the holidays. They love to hang out at lakes during the summer and go on ski trips in the winter.
