Although Lam puts a lot of thought into each piece she designs, she sometimes receives special requests. Derek Hough specially commissioned a brooch for his wedding day and Lam happily obliged.

On Mindy Lam’s Instagram page, she uploaded a stunning photo of Derek’s wedding day brooch and shared the story behind it. She created a beautiful story about a golden dove and his love for a budding pearl blossom.

After receiving a kidney transplant from her daughter, Lam was able to relaunch her business.
