Want to smell like Harry Styles? The first ever Pleasing perfumes have landed – here's the GLAMOUR verdict

Most skin scents lean on either musk or the molecule Iso E Super to emulate the smell of bare skin and crumpled sheets. Harry’s perfumes skew a little more sexy (if that’s possible).

The Pleasing Closeness EDP epitomises this most with its unusual salt musk note, which conjures up skin pressed against skin, rather than just enhancing your own natural scent. Alongside pink pepper and a clean sheets accord, it imparts a very salty, mineral tang at first spritz, which won’t be for everyone. However, wait a beat for it to settle – and the dry down to powdery iris and soft wood gives it a more fuzzy quality, which is truly lovely.

Rivulets is likely to be the crowd pleaser of the bunch – and rightly so. It’s floral and fresh with a white linen accord, but then typical skin-like notes including ambroxan and musk push through to warm up your pulse points. It’s the sort of scent that will have people asking what you’re wearing when huddled together in a lift – in the best possible way, of course.

As its name implies, Bright, Hot is the warmest perfume in the trio with notes of vanilla, cedar wood and amber. It conjures up gently falling asleep under a hot sun when you’re on holiday… but steers clear of predictability with the interesting addition of tobacco leaves and a marine accord. Imagine damp, bronzed skin drying on a sun lounger. Yum.

Harry has pitched his perfumes at the luxury end of the market, enlisting some of the world’s top noses for help – a move that is reflected in the £135 price tag. He appointed French perfumer, Jérôme Epinette, who has created scent smash-hits such as Byredo’s Gypsy Water and Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next, as well as collaborating on Sol de Janeiro’s iconic Bum Bum fragrance.

Does Harry Styles actually have four nipples?

Adding to the appeal are the eco-friendly production methods that underscore each Pleasing perfume. Harry chose to collaborate with fragrance house Robertet, which is a world leader in sustainable, natural raw materials and prides itself on locally sourced ingredients through partnerships with co-ops that support small communities.

Better still, as well as smelling like Harry, you can now purchase a matching Closeness, Rivulets and Bright, Hot candle – then imagine snuggling up to him on the sofa.
