Tyson Fury was clearly impressed by the efforts of Jake Paul in his clash with Tommy Fury.
Last weekend, the ‘Gypsy King’s’ younger brother, Tommy beat Paul by split decision having survived a knockdown in the final round.
And footage on the Top Rank Boxing YouTube channel shows Tyson approaching Paul immediately after the fight, before the result had been announced.
“Well done Jake, good fight, brother. I was very very impressed, well done,” Tyson said as he gave Paul a hug.
In response to a question asking how good Tommy’s win was, Tyson said: “Sweet like Tropicana.”
The footage also captures Mike Tyson’s immediate reaction at ringside, as he can be smiling from ear to ear and he says to the camera: “Excitement!”
As seen on the night, Tommy and Paul also shared a heart-warming moment of respect in the ring, as the Brit approached his American rival and said: “I’ve got nothing but love and respect for you brother.
“It was a great build-up and a great fight, thank you.”
That ‘love and respect’, however, could dwindle if the pair decide to clash once again in a rematch and it seems that is what Paul wants to do.
“I’m going to go back for this rematch,” Paul said at the post-fight press conference.
“I just talked to Tommy in the medical room and he said, ‘let’s go, let’s do it again’ and he’s down for it, so that will be the focus first and foremost.
“I’m going to prove that I can go and fight a better fight than I did tonight and get that W.”
The knockdown has been the source of some controversy in the days after the fight, with Tommy blaming a slip with ringside footage showing another angle of the incident and reigniting the debate.
