Joe Burrow’s Crazy Throw and Cris Collinsworth’s Loyal Emotions Give Life to a Magestic Meme Fest on Patrick Mahomes

The Cincinnati Bengals produced a major upset by beating the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional round of the playoffs. While the game ended with a 10-27 scoreline, Joe Burrow looked unplayable. The QB is just in his 3rd year in the league and has already made two conference championships. With this one being his second consecutive one.

However, his most viral highlight from last night was a pregame warmup deep pass he threw for the cameras. A video shows a slow motion of the 26-year-old spinning on one leg while throwing a perfect spiral down the field. Although it was not part of the actual game, fans can’t get enough of it.

Joe Burrow draws Patrick Mahomes comparisons

Every fan who came across the tweet has been swooning over the pass. Many are even putting Burrow up with some elite company of passers, most notably Patrick Mahomes.

The Kansas City Chiefs superstar has been one of the most impressive passers in the NFL for the better of the past few years. Which has landed him quite a few admirers as well. The most prominent name currently in that list is of former Bengals WR, Cris Collinsworth. The player turned analyst was calling the Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday. Let’s just say the fans noted enough evidence to acknowledge how charmed the former WR was with Mahomes.

Cris Collinsworth gets the meme treatment

While the analyst praised Mahomes for throwing the ball into the turf to stop the play, he also criticized Trevor Lawrence for overthrowing a perfectly good pass to his WR, who simply dropped it. Many fans were speculating what would he have done if the video of Burrow actually had Mahomes in it.

Even this fan replied by expressing his frustrations with Collinsworth, calling the playoff game.

This tweet explains the source of all this clamoring.

In addition to the frustrated fans, there were plenty of memes being shared around regarding the bias of the commentator.

Mahomes and Burrow will be going at it once again in the conference championship games. Last year’s AFC game saw the Bengals bested the Chiefs in a close game. Mahomes even shared a cryptic tweet after the game was over last night.

The Bengals’ QB is the only player to defeat Mahomes and the Chiefs in three straight games. He is currently 3-0 against the MVP frontrunner and will be looking to go 4-0 for a second trip to the Super Bowl.
