In the summer, Maluma dropped “Sobrio,” his first official single of the year, alongside a star-studded music video that featured Scott Disick, Saweetie and more celebs.
This week, the song, the title of which translates to ‘sober,’ hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, becoming the Colombian artist’s 21st leader.
Penned by Maluma, Édgar Barrera, Kevyn Mauricio Cruz, Alejandro Robledo, Filly Andres Lima and Lenin Yorney Palacios, “Sobrio” is about a person who can’t get over their ex and drunk dials them for some serious love confessions.
The official music, helmed by director Jessy Terrero, has racked over 125 million views since it dropped on July 8.
“Maybe in the near future I’ll do a remix with a global star like I did with The Weeknd [on ‘Hawái’],” he previously told Billboard. “The song is just starting to grow. People love it just the way it is.”
