Nostradamus reveals what 2024 has in store – from war to major flood and end of King Charles reign

Back in the 16th century the world’s most famous astrologer and philosopher, Nostradamus, made some damning predictions that many people believe have come true since his death. His book Les Propheties was published in 1555 and has been re-interpreted for centuries, with fans believing Nostradamus predicted everything from the Great Fire of London to the rise of Adolf Hitler and more recently the cost of living crisis. We take a look at his predictions and what they could mean for 2024.

Throughout his life, Nostradamus made 942 predictions for the future – penned in four-line verses called quadrants. Some of these have apparently come true, but cynics say his words could be interpreted to mean anything. Analysts have been trying to figure out what Nostradamus predicted for the year ahead and what his predictions could mean for 2024.

According to expert interpretations of his book from the 16th century, drama is on the cards for the Royal Family in 2024 which could mean the end of King Charles’ reign. One major prediction from Nostradamus says the “King of the Isles” will be “driven out by force”. The Nostradamus claim reads: “King of the Isles driven out by force… replaced by one who will have no mark of a king.”

According to the Daily Star, Nostradamus accurately predicted the death of the Queen and the time of her death. One expert on these matters, Mario Reading, who is also an analyst and author of the book The Nostradamus Prophecies, believes this may mean the King could step down. But it’s not the only major event 2024 has in store, the prophet has also predicted a tsunami and a war at sea.

“The dry Earth will become more parched and there will be great floods.” A “very great famine through pestiferous waves” could mean the possibility of the tsunami impacting farmland. Escalating conflicts in the ocean were also noted as not only are “great floods” to hit but “dread” will filter through the oceans. The naval conflict was predicted by the French philosopher, who says an international conflict could bubble up in 2024.

He wrote: “Red adversary will become pale with fear, putting the great ocean in dread.” Experts believe Nostradamus was talking about the growing conflict in Asia and could have been referring to China and the Indian Ocean. Meanwhile, we could even see a new Pope elected next year.

Pope Francis, the leader of the Catholic Church, is 88 next year and has suffered a series of health troubles recently. Nostradamus wrote: “Through the death of the very old Pontiff, a Roman of good age will be elected.” Only time will tell if these events will take place and we will have to wait until the end of 2024 to see if Nostradamus’ predictions have come true.
