In 2011, at Texas’s Whitehouse High School, Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews, both 16, kick-started their love story, igniting a fiery romance that still burns bright in the NFL‘s spotlight today. Mahomes was a freshman, while Matthews was a junior. Patrick and Brittany tore up the dance floor together, with Patrick declaring Brittany the ‘ultimate prom date.’
Their romance lasted through college, even though they went to different schools. From 2014 to 2017, Mahomes lit up Texas Tech University, slinging passes. Meanwhile, Brittany pursued her soccer dream at the University of Texas at Tyler from 2013 to 2017.
Year 2016- Valentine’s Day
In 2016, Patrick gifted Brittany an adorable puppy named Steel for Valentine’s Day. That same year, Brittany made history by becoming the first player to score three hat-tricks in both a season and a career in her soccer program.
Year 2017- Professional support
When Patrick got picked by the Kansas City Chiefs in April 2017, Brittany showed her love on Instagram, “Officially a Kansas City Chiefs fan! I’m so proud of you Patrick!” making their bond stronger. In May of that year, Brittany joined Iceland’s pro soccer team, UMF Afturelding/Fram, and Mahomes was with her all the way.

Year 2018- Mahomes behind the helmet
In 2018, the couple had a tough time when Brittany’s stepdad, Paul Massey, fell down outside Arrowhead Stadium before the game and didn’t make it. Mahomes bolted from the stadium right after the Chiefs’ victory to be with Brittany. She mentioned, “Today is a day I will never forget.”
Year 2019- First home sweet home
The next year, in January 2019, Patrick Mahomes got the NFL MVP award, a huge milestone for the Chiefs. Brittany wrote, “You’re way more than an MVP to me.” That year the couple also bought a house together in Kansas City worth almost $2 million.
Year 2020- Mahomes proposes to his MVP, Brittany
In 2020, the Kansas City Chiefs took the Super Bowl, and Brittany ran to the field to hug Patrick. “Amazing comebacks and overcoming an injury, and for that YOU DESERVE THIS,” Brittany wrote in an IG story. Later that year, Mahomes popped the question in a VIP box at Arrowhead Stadium, and they said yes.

Year 2021- Power couple’s first child
The power couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Sterling Skye Mahomes, in February 2021. The football player shared his daughter’s birth, “Sterling Skye Mahomes 2/20/21,” on Instagram alongside his wife Brittany.
Year 2022- Mr. & Mrs. Mahomes’ final knot
The future HOF-er and his lovely bride, Brittany, exchanged vows in a stunning ceremony on the idyllic island of Maui, Hawaii, in March 2022. Their cute one-year-old daughter, Skye, was a charming part of the magical event. Six months later, the Mahomes family welcomed a new youngest member – baby Patrick ‘Bronze’ Lavon Mahomes III, who weighed 7 pounds and 8 ounces.

Year 2023- A year of love and luxury dreamlike home
On the field, in the spectacular showdown of Super Bowl LVII in 2023, the Bert Bell Award winner guided the Chiefs again to triumph, securing another prized championship ring for his growing collection. However, March 2023 was not only the anniversary of Mahomes’ Super Bowl win but also a landmark in his personal life – the MVP and former soccer star marked their first year of marital bliss. Brittany wrote a message: “Year 1 was wild but we’ve got many more to go☺️ You & Me forever♾️.”
The Mahomes family, being the influential couple they are, decided to elevate their home life. Constructing an $8 million estate situated in Cass County, Missouri. The report says this place was a dream come true – it featured a spacious dwelling, a 50-yard football field, a private pond, a par 3 golf hole, an enticing outdoor pool, and plenty of verdant space.
