Russell Wilson was born on November 29th, 1988 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a quarterback in the NFL.

Wilson attended a preparatory school in Richmond Virginia, Collegiate School, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. As a junior, Wilson was named an All-District, All-Region, and All-State player. In only two years as a quarterback, Wilson threw for nearly 6,300 yards and 74 passing touchdowns in addition to rushing for 1,766 yards and 33 rushing touchdowns. As a senior, he was named an All-Conference, All-State player and Conference Player of the Year. Wilson committed to North Carolina State University on July 23rd, 2006.

Wilson played three seasons for N.C. State from 2008 to 2010. In his first season with the Wolfpack, Wilson was named First Team All-ACC, ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year, and ACC Rookie of the Year. He completed a total 682 passes for 8,545 yards and 76 touchdowns in addition to 1,083 yards for 17 rushing scores in three seasons with the Wolfpack. In 2011, Wilson committed to the University of Wisconsin. In one season with the Badgers, he completed 225 passes for 3,175 yards and 33 touchdowns in addition to rushing for 338 yards and three rushing scores. Wilson set the single-season record at Wisconsin and was the second-most in Big Ten history behind Drew Brees during the 1998 season at Purdue. Wilson also set the single-season FBS record for passing efficiency with 191.8.

Russell Wilson was selected in the third round by the Seattle Seahawks with the 75th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He started all 16 games as a rookie, completing 252 of 393 passes for 3,118 yards and 26 TDs, registered a 100.0 passer rating, and ran 94 times for 489 yards with four touchdowns. Wilson tied Peyton Manning’s 1998 record for most TD passes by a rookie with 26, and became the first rookie in NFL history to lead his team to an undefeated home record. Russell Wilson was named NFL’s Rookie of the Year in 2012. In 2013, Wilson led the Seahawks to a 13-3 regular-season record and an NFC Conference Championship. Wilson and the Seahawks capped the season with a Super Bowl Championship over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII. Since entering the league in 2012, Wilson has played every game with the Seahawks completing 2,095 passes for 25,624 yards and 196 touchdowns. Wilson is known for his evasiveness in the pocket and has been explosive when pressured. Wilson logged 3651 yards and 16 rushing touchdowns. Wilson has been named to six Pro Bowls, was named Pro Bowl Offensive MVVP in 2015, and was the NFL’s passing touchdown leader in 2017. In the 2020 season, Wilson threw for the most touchdowns in a season for his career with 35, completing 280 passes for 3,448 yards.
