SuperLotto Plus is California’s most prominent state lottery, costing $1.

SuperLotto Plus draws take place twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 19:57 local time (Pacific Standard).

Players enter SuperLotto Plus by choosing five numbers between 1 and 47, plus an additional number called the Mega Ball between 1 and 27. Alternatively, players can go for a Quick Pick containing five randomly chosen numbers.

Each SuperLotto Plus ticket gives additional entry into the SuperLotto Plus 2nd Chance draw, a weekly draw with a top prize of $15,000.

Payout and Taxes

SuperLotto Plus jackpot winnings can be paid out as a lump sum or as graduated annual payments. Annual payments are the default payment option, with winners notifying the California Lottery within 60 days of winning the jackpot if they wish to receive cash instead. Players choosing annual payments will have their winnings paid out over 30 years.
