HARRY STYLES has reached dazzling new heights.

Following glowing reviews for his Coachella set, a sold-out Australian tour, starring roles in three Hollywood films, a Gucci collaboration … not to mention his single ‘As It Was‘ continuing to break Billboards chart records — the performer has picked up yet another coup.

The 28-year-old has become the third musical artist in history to have a banner raised at Madison Square Garden.

On September 21, Styles performed his final show at the iconic arena in New York City — after 15-consecutive nights, all of which were sold out. He began his ‘Love on Tour’ residency on August 20.

The banner was unveiled and presented to Styles as a surprise, just after the encore of his evocative debut solo single ‘Sign of the Times.’

US television host Gayle King walked on stage, took the mic and told the Manchester-native about his Madison Square Garden victory. “Harry, we don’t want to say goodnight to you,” she said as the a massive banner reading: “Harry Styles 15 – 15 Consecutive nights at the Garden” was dramatically raised from the floor to the roof.

According to Rolling Stone, Styles became emotional — even “taking a tissue from a fan near the catwalk” and declared, “Any time that you come to Madison Square Garden and you see that, remember it’s because of you. That is ours.”

Other artists with tribute banners hanging from The Garden’s rafter include include Billy Joel, who has two (one for his 129 shows there and a second for his colossal 83 shows during his monthly residency). Joel performed twice during Styles ‘Love on Tour’ run, joking to the crowd during his opening night: “I’d like to thank Harry Styles for taking a night off.” At the time, Styles embarked on press coverage for Don’t Worry Darling and My Policeman at Venice Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival respectively.

American rock band Phish also received their banner in 2017 after their record-setting Baker’s Dozen stay, where they didn’t repeat a song for 13 consecutively sold-out nights.

Also watching on — and reportedly “wiping away tears” — was Styles’ girlfriend Olivia Wilde. The Don’t Worry Darling director arrived at the famous venue shortly after her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Wilde was spotted dancing and singing the lyrics to Styles’ boppy Music for a Sushi Restaurant while wearing a plunging Stella McCartney cut-out dress. She also donned a white feather boa, a Styles signature.

To mark the singer’s milestone, Madison Square Garden also gifted every fan their own feather boa to celebrate the arena as officially ‘Harry’s House.’

“Selling out 15 consecutive nights at Madison Square Garden is a massive accomplishment and reinforces Harry Styles as one of the most impactful artists of his generation,” said Jim Dolan, executive chairman and CEO, MSG Entertainment.

Styles is set to perform down under in February 2022, with Perth kicking things off on the 20th. Seven performances are scheduled throughout the country with Sydney concluding his Aussie ‘Love on Tour’ on March 4. This follows his cancelled tour in November 2020 due to the pandemic.

We can’t wait to see Styles make Australia his ‘home.’
